查尔顿纳姆作为一个温泉疗养小镇，它的历史可以追溯到1716年。据当地人讲，人们看见鸽子啄食温泉周围的沉积矿物，才发现了泉水的治疗作用。小镇温泉的最初访问者包括：塞缪尔，德国音乐家亨德尔。在乔治三世国王1788年到查尔顿纳姆之后，小镇迅速成为一个时髦的温泉疗养地。直到今天，镇子里还有许多建于1790-1840年间摄政王时期风格的房屋。

住宿方式
大学公寓住宿， 均为单人间带卫浴。每栋楼有16-20个房间，每栋楼有2个公共活动室。同时楼内设有投币自动洗衣设施。

哈特伯瑞学院

哈特伯瑞学院（Hartpury College）为西英格兰大学的附属学院，前身是一家小规模的农业学院，成立于1948年。经过多年发展， 现在是英国优秀的高等继续教育学院。在校学生有2500人。专业教授兽医，农业，陆上课程、马术运动，运动管理以及相关课程。学校面积500 公顷，位于美丽的格罗斯特郡乡村，距格罗斯特市仅5 英里。附近有切尔滕纳姆、麦尔文山、迪安森林和科兹沃尔德。

哈特伯瑞位于伦敦以西，距伦敦仅两小时车程，而距伯明翰仅一小时车程，来往伦敦希斯罗机场和伯明翰国际机场十分便利。到牛津，巴思和莎士比亚故居都很近。

Excursions

  • One full-day excursion and two half-day transfers per week are included in the programme.
  • Full-day sample destinations include Oxford, Bath and Stratford-upon-Avon.
  • Half-day transfers may include Cheltenham, Gloucester, Cirencester, Worcester, Hereford and Tewkesbury.
  • There is also a choice of optional excursions which may include: London, Bristol, Cardiff, Birmingham, Salisbury and Stonehenge.

Sports facilities
The campus has impressive sports facilities including a golf course, playing fields, sports hall, outdoor swimming pool and a state-of-the-art equestrian centre with an indoor manège.

Football and Swimming sports supplements are available on-site for an extra charge.
