Assessment and exams

Examinations

Students are not obliged to sit formal examinations during our courses.

We do, however, feel it is important that each student learns what their language strengths are, and which areas they may want to improve in future.

On-going assessment

When students first arrive at their chosen centre, they will sit an internal test to allow the classes to be arranged by ability. In doing this, we are able to ensure that all students receive the attention they require, at the level they feel most comfortable with.

It also means that students with a lower language level will be able to learn alongside others of the same level, without holding back those with more language experience.

The testing process is repeated again at the end of each week. This means we are able to demonstrate to each student the advances they have made through their hard work - always proving to be a pleasant surprise!

At the end of the course, all students receive an End-of-Course Certificate, proving their successful completion of the programme.

All of our centres are accredited for Trinity Examinations in Spoken English, which can be sat by any student if booked at least six weeks in advance of the start of the course.
